Audition for The Filigree Theatre's Season 7 Spring Production

Please note - some audition dates we will be at Cinemaker Space @ Canopy Austin, others we will be at ACA Sanctuary (Filigree Office) so please check your assigned audition location carefully! It will be included in confirmation email.

CASTING FIVE ACTORS to play multiple roles; open ethnicity & gender; age range 18 through senior adults.
TAKE CARE OF MY FRIEND is a heavy, autobiographical comedy chronicling a young woman's treatment for third degree burns to her treatment for severe depression and OCD. This show jumps quickly through time and settings, engaging the audience directly. A cast of 6 builds out the world. The playwright will be playing the roles of KF/TA during this production, but the 5 other actors will take on 25 roles among them -- including intrusive OCD thoughts.
This is a world premiere and what the cast brings to their roles will inform how the play develops beyond this production.
Casting 5 actors. Specifically seeking a diverse ensemble representing a range of gender expressions, ethnicities, ages (18 - senior adults), body types, and backgrounds. Please let us know if you need any accommodations for the audition.
Content warnings: descriptions of suicide ideation, self-harm, and violence.
REHEARSALS:
Rehearsals will generally be late Feb/early March 2026 - early April 2026
Tech Week: April 6th - April 9th 2026
