PLAYWRIGHT:
Claire O’Connor is a fiction writer, educator, and aspiring playwright who has worked with students of many ages in the U.S., Morocco, Malaysia, Greece, South Africa, and Scotland. Her stories have been published or are forthcoming in journals and anthologies such as Best New American Voices, New Writing Scotland, Environmental and Nature Writing, The Baltimore Review, and the Southern Indiana Review. Excerpts from her novel-in-progress have won The Missouri Review's Miller Audio Prize and have been longlisted for the Discoveries Prize. She normally lives with her wife in Scotland (and various other parts of the world), and she is currently the author-in-residence at Linfield University in Oregon.

Kathleen Fletcher (Eve & Shamhat) Once again, Kathleen is thrilled to play with The Filigree Theatre! Recent Austin credits include Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing (ColdFrame Collective), Lady Macbeth in Macbeth (The Archive Theatre), Kate in Fire in Dreamland (The Filligree Theatre), Chana Mandlebaum, the Ingenue in Indecent (Austin Playhouse), Maggie, Clem, Ron in Batboy: The Musical (ACC), Avery in Out West (Scriptworks, Out of Ink: Not in the Cards). In addition to her work as an actor, she is a playwright with several upcoming productions of scripts she’s penned, including her one woman show – directed by Elizabeth Newman – Take Care of My Friend (2024 FronteraFest, “Best of Fest”).
Scot Friedman (Husband, Male Cousin, Man, Other Man, Huwawa, Ferryman) is an Austin-based actor with credits in film, theater, commercial, and voice-over productions. He recently appeared on stage with Filigree as Francis Crick in Photograph 51. Favorite stage productions include A Tuna Christmas, The Seafarer, Laughter on the 23rd Floor, When the Rain Stops Falling, The Odd Couple, Om Shanti: Once Upon A Time in Bollywood, Inherit The Wind, The Imaginary Invalid, and How the Other Half Loves, and his voice may be heard in the anime series, Moeyo Ken (Burning Sword) and New Fist of the North Star. Scot is a founding member and on the board of directors of The Stage Austin theater company (TheStageAustin.com).
Arielle LaGuette (Bride) is excited to return to Filigree after recently appearing in Above The Fold. An Austin native, Arielle is a multifaceted performer with experience across theater, music, and comedy stages. This year, Arielle co-created a FronteraFest 2024 “Best Of” show, a workshop preview of Love Island UK the Musical. Some of her other favorite credits include starring in Amber Ruffin’s BigFoot: The Musical, The Vagina Monologues, and Shit-Faced Shakespeare. You can see Arielle every Thursday night performing improv with the ladies of Garage comedy at Fallout Theater, and monthly with Austin’s premiere musical improv troupe Girls, Girls, Girls. Arielle has released two studio albums under her name that you can listen to wherever you find music.
Madison Laird (Eurydice, Mother of Bride, Inanna & Female Cousin) is making her debut with Filigree Theatre, eager to contribute her voice to new works that amplify women's perspectives.Though fairly new to Austin’s theatre scene, she recently starred in Bottle Alley Theatre’s "We’ve Always Lived in the Castle." Madison brings over 12 years of experience in Television and film to her stage performances. A student in the Working Actor program at the Carol Hickey Acting Studio, she continually hones her craft. Madison is dedicated to the art of storytelling and is enthusiastic about the creative journeys ahead.She is represented by Linda McAlister Talent.
Mike Ooi (Gilgamesh) is delighted to be onstage again with The Filigree Theatre. Previous work with The Filigree Theatre includes Klemos in Antigone, Wangel in The Lady From The Sea, as well as fight design of Above the Fold and Antigone. Mike was nominated for a B Iden Payne Award for their fight design in ColdFrame Collective’s Romeo and Juliet. Other Austin credits include Pet Dick (Jarrott Productions) and The Spin (Street Corner Arts). Next up for Mike is performing in A Million More to Go (Jarrott Productions) and fight design of Cyrano de Bergerac (ColdFrame Collective). Currently, Mike can be seen in improv sets at ColdTowne, commercials on TV, or teaching classes at ColdTowne and ZACH. TV credits include CHICAGO FIRE (NBC). He is represented by Pastorini-Bosby.
Jane Schwartz (AMMIT & Ninsun) recently appeared in Ventana Ballet and Red Nightfall Dance Theatre's annual holiday production of The Watchmaker's Song at the Neill-Cochran House. Jane sings regularly with ATX Musical Theatre Collective. Catch Jane this summer in Magnolia Theatre’s Footloose: free and outside at the Hill Country Galleria July 10-August 10th. A proud member of SAG-AFTRA, she recently played The Ballerina in the film Tucumcari Tonite!, and can be seen in the SXSW award-winning, New York Times Critic’s' Pick Inbetween Girl on Showtime. She is represented by Pastorini Bosby Talent, O-Agency, and CA Talent.

Maddy is a freelance costume designer and wardrobe supervisor in Austin, Texas. She graduated from Southwestern University with a BA in Technical Theatre with a focus in Costume Design and Stage Management. Recent shows: Above the Fold (The Filigree Theatre), Undark (the Vortex), Photograph 51 (The Filigree Theatre), Paquito y Abuelito (Scottish Rite Theatre), Mousetrap (Georgetown Palace Theatre), The Memo (The Vortex), Dragonfly Princess (The Vortex).
